NEW DELHI: Paperless domestic air travel under the government’s ambitious “DigiYatra” (DY) will soon become a reality at some of the busiest metro airports. The Delhi and Bengaluru airports on 75th Independence Day rolled out beta version of DigiYatra (DY) App. The app is currently available on Google Playstore for Android users, and an iOS version will soon be made available.
Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) says domestic passengers flying from Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 on any airline can download the app and register themselves for a seamless travel experience. With this technology, passengers’ entry would be automatically processed based on the facial recognition system at all checkpoints including entry into the airport, security check areas, and aircraft boarding.
