Panthers WR Robby Anderson really does not want Baker Mayfield on his team

Last week, Carolina Panthers wideout Robby Anderson briefly became a lightning rod of debate for a tweet folks perceived as a shot at a quarterback. Except it wasn’t.

But this one certainly is.

On Friday, a fan Instagram account, @panthers.way, posted a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that suggested Carolina was the most likely landing spot for Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield. Anderson (@chosen1ra), who wasn’t subtweeting or sub-commenting this time, made it clear he’s not exactly cool with such a prospect.

Oh, and in case the “Nooooo” wasn’t clear enough, he followed up on a subsequent post from @panthersnat1on . . .

With the Panthers still looking for an answer under center, Mayfield remains a viable option for 2022—at least in the eyes of some. In the eyes of Anderson, it seems like a pretty hard pass.

Funnily enough, the feeling might be mutual for Mayfield—who recently tabbed the Seattle Seahawks as his most likely destination. Something also tells us Baker wouldn’t be the only person happy to see a trade go through to the northwest.
