The Carolina Panthers still need them some pass rushers. And if they’re luckily, they might see a few talented prospects drop to them on April 28.
One of those players could be Louisiana State University defensive end BJ Ojulari, who is set to meet with the team for a top-30 visit ahead of the 2023 NFL draft. KPRC 2 Houston’s Aaron Wilson was first to report the meeting on Tuesday.
Brother of New York Giants linebacker Azeez Olujari, the Marietta, Ga. native is also expected to see the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is projected as a late first-round to early second-round pick.
Ojulari played three seasons for the Tigers between 2020 and 2022. He recorded 128 total tackles (25.5 for a loss), 16.5 sacks, two passes defensed, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
The 6-foot-2, 248-pound pass rusher would be a sensible fit as an outside linebacker in Carolina’s new 3-4 base defense. He may be a second-round option with the team’s 39th overall selection.
