In fact, he may have even been offered a cup.
As reported by colleague Adam Schefter on Wednesday morning, the ESPN NFL analyst discussed “prominent coaching roles” with the Panthers and the Indianapolis Colts this offseason. Orlovsky, however, ultimately decided to stay put at the worldwide leader.
It’s not the first time and likely won’t be the last: Carolina and Indianapolis discussed prominent offensive coaching roles with ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky before he opted to remain at the network.

As Schefter notes, this is not the first time the 39-year-old received such interest. Orlovsky, as far back as three seasons ago, got calls from multiple teams who wanted to gauge his interest in potential coaching jobs.
The former quarterback has shined in his own prominent role with ESPN. After all, if a handful of organizations are hitting you up with gigs, you must be doing something right.
Ironically enough, this comes just a few months after Orlovsky criticized Carolina’s “predictable” offensive schemes during a segment on NFL Live—even going so far as to use the term “coaching malpractice.”
Unacceptable
Coaching malpracticeYes every @panthers fan should be ticked off

There may be no need to be ticked off now though, Dan. Those plays came from the last guy.
