Xavier Legette is going to be riding around in style from now on.
Before hitting the field for the latest session of training camp on Saturday morning, the Carolina Panthers rookie wide receiver was seen sporting a very slick piece of headwear—one that honored his current and past football ties:

Well, turns out the Panthers/University of South Carolina Gamecocks cowboy hat was a present from a fan.
Vashti Hurt of Carolina Blitz interviewed the gift-giver shortly after:

Legette’s accent isn’t the only country thing about him. This cowboys talks the talk and walks the walk . . . or, in this case, rides the horse.
The Mullins, S.C. native, who owns a quarter horse named “Dolla Bill,” has spoken about his love of riding.
“I was about five years old,” he said of the first time he rode a horse. “And ever since I was a little boy—my uncle, he would bring the horses to my house every day for my birthday. And then we’ll go out there to the horse stable on the weekend.”
Giddy up!
