Pamela Anderson's highly-anticipated documentary aired on Netflix today, January 31.
In her own words, through personal video and diaries, Pamela Anderson shares the story of her rise to fame, as well as her personal life and relationships. Entitled 'Pamela, a love story,' it also recounts her infamous sex tape scandal, after she slammed the Disney+ series Pam & Tommy for their portrayal of her story.
Known for her role as C.J. Parker in Baywatch, the Canadian-born star has had major success on our screens, is recognised for her animal rights activism - and also switched swapped Christmas in California for yule in Liverpool when she starred on stage in a Liverpool Empire pantomime. Back in 2010, many will remember the Hollywood star played the genie in Aladdin, alongside Les and Mark Moraghan.

In August that year, Pamela spoke of her excitement of coming to Liverpool, after performing in her first UK pantomime the year prior. At the time, Pamela said: "Oh, the first thing I’ll do, I guess, is find my local pub.
"That’s what I did when I was in panto in Wimbledon last year. I’ve got to get some chips and vinegar. You know, I’m Canadian and we have lots of similar things, so it’s nice to come here and get some really good food.
"After that I’ll be out and about, seeing more of the beautiful city and doing some shopping. I don’t like to isolate myself in hotel rooms so I’ll be running around – causing trouble!" But prior to her arrival, Pamela also had an interesting link to one famous Scouser, as her activism brought her into contact with the man she credits as her favourite Beatle, Sir Paul McCartney.
She said: "He gave me the first Linda McCartney Humanitarian Award which was really special to me. We have had a lot of contact and he is obviously a great animal rights activist and a great person, so I have spent the most time with him. He is a good guy."

In June 2010, Pamela, whilst promoting the upcoming panto, told the ECHO she had never visited the city before. Pamela said: "I read about it being European Capital of Culture for 2008 and I’m a Beatles fan of course.
"But my friends in the UK tell me there’s so much more to the city besides and that I’m really going to have a great time. I even had a chance to check in with my friend Henry Winkler and he had nothing but great things to say about the people and the city."
Aladdin ran from December 10 to January 2 and despite the Baywatch star only being in the city for a number of weeks, she declared that she loved being "a Liver Bird." A Liverpool ECHO review on December 15, 2010, reads: "And while the former Baywatch star may only be on stage for a total of 15 minutes of the two and three quarter hour show, when she is she cuts a kittenish dash as the sparkly red swimsuit-clad genie of the lamp.
"She delivers a nice line in self-deprecation with a twinkle in her eye, and if there are one or two places where she tends to gabble her lines, she throws herself into whatever scene she happens to be in – including a manic rude rote song with other cast members – with goodwill and a cheeky smile. "I love being a Liver Bird," Pammy told last night’s Empire audience during the final bow, and after three weeks in the city you hope she really will."
Whilst in Liverpool, Pamela attended a press night bash at the Liverpool Empire’s Atrium Bar, where she wore a stylish frock from Liverpool’s Vivienne Westwood store that she'd visited earlier that day. The guest list included Everton players Tony Hibbert, Leon Osman, James Wallace and Jose Baxter.

Pamela also took time out from panto to pay a private visit to Tate Liverpool. The Albert Dock gallery invited the star after reading about her love of art.
On a tour given by head of exhibitions and displays Gavin Delahunty, she also stepped out on the gallery’s silent disco dance floor. One weekend, fans also spotted Pam visiting the Empire’s "local" Ma Egertons with fellow cast members.
And Pamela also wrapped up against the cold in a fabulous leopard print fake fur coat as she arrived for Paul McCartney’s Liverpool gig. The star of The Empire’s Aladdin panto was spotted sitting down in the VIP area at the O2 Academy after being invited along to the concert along with fellow cast members, including Les Dennis, who played Wishee Washee.
Alongside performing, many will remember Pamela heading to Liverpool’s Alder Hey hospital to spread some festive cheer with her co-stars. At the time, Pamela told the ECHO: "It was a wonderful experience to visit Alder Hey children’s hospital so that the cast and I could help lift the spirits of the kids.
"It is sad to see that children have to be in hospital over Christmas. But the staff are doing their very best to make it as comfortable as possible." Dressed in their glittering costumes the cast brought smiles and laughter to youngsters on three wards during their surprise visit.
Pamela, who was spending her second Christmas in the UK, wished the little ones “a very Merry Christmas”. She added: "I wish the children all the best for the New Year 2011."
