When it came to boob jobs, Pamela Anderson was something of a pioneer.
After finding fame as a Playboy pinup in 1990 and being chosen as Playmate of the Month, the blonde bombshell moved to Los Angeles, got breast implants and increased her bust to a 34D.
The Canadian centrefold - whose Netflix documentary Pamela, a Love Story, is out today - also landed a job as Tim Allen's Tool Time Girl in Home Improvement.
Then in 1992, she won a leading role in Baywatch playing lifeguard C J Parker - a part that turned her into a household name.
The iconic red swimsuit coupled with her glamorous blonde hair and curves in all the right places cemented Pammy's place at the top of the hot list.
At the height of her fame, she famously married Motley Crue star Tommy Lee in February 1995 after knowing him for just four days. They went on to have sons Brandon Thomas and Dylan Jagger before divorcing in a blaze of acrimony in 1998.
And the following year, Pamela, now 55, decided that her pneumatic days were over.
The Barb Wire star removed her breast implants for a more natural look, sending fans into shock and making headlines across the globe with her restored C cup.
Her implants were so famous that Ripley's Believe-It-Or-Not Museum wanted to buy the implants and display them.
And cosmetic surgeon, Dr Mark Berman, told ABC News in 2001 that she had become the 'reference point' for breast augmentation procedures, with rafts of women asking to look like the star.
But Pamela simply wanted to reclaim her body after spending so long pregnant and breast feeding.
She told Entertainment Tonight in 1999 that she no longer felt good having such an inflated bosom.
"I feel like I'm a petite person and just having these large breasts was, it just didn't feel right any more," she explained.
"I was really kind of being self-conscious of it. I don't know what happened.
"I think after having children and nursing I felt like I was Dolly Parton for the longest time and I thought, 'I just want my natural body back.'"
As luck would have it, the removal could not have come at a better time with surgeons discovering a dangerous flaw in one of the implants.
"Actually when I did remove them they found a leak in one side," she confirmed.
Despite her experience, Pammy made an about-turn in 2004 and returned to her signature look when she had her breasts augmented again, going to a 34DD.
Over the years there has also been unsubstantiated speculation about Pamela undergoing everything from lipo to a nose job. And in 2008 she was rumoured to have formed an unlikely bond with the late Michael Jackson over their love of plastic surgery.
Of their supposed string of dates, a source told The Mirror: "It was all arranged by their people in total secrecy, very cloak and dagger.
"They arrived separately at the Shutters Hotel on Malibu Beach so no one would suspect anything and then had a few drinks in the bar.
"They were very chatty. Pamela was being her usual flirty self and Michael seemed to be responding. They are such a strange couple but they seemed to really hit it off."
In more recent years though, Pamela has sworn off surgery and even admitted to regretting her breast implants.
"I know it sounds like a cliché, but happiness has a lot to do with beauty," she told W Magazine of her new mantra. "Calm, peacefulness and not-constant stress are very, very important to feeling beautiful and confident. And that comes across whether you're wearing makeup or not."
While she did dabble with Botox, she found it wasn't for her.
"I felt like my eyes sunk into my head so far that I didn't look look like me anymore! I'm not into all that stuff," she added.
"I actually like ageing. I have great older female role models in my life, including my amazing mum, who have glitz, glamour, and all sorts of fun. Getting older isn't the end. I know I have so much to look forward to."
