Pakistan has tightened restrictions on foreign journalists as criticism has mounted over a brutal crackdown on protests that have engulfed its Kashmir region for months.
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on Tuesday issued the “Foreign Media Facilitation Guidelines 2026” requiring journalists to take permission from the government before travelling outside the cities of Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi.
