NEW DELHI: Pakistan men's hockey team on Monday faced a huge setback after failing to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games for a third consecutive time. The result came as a shocker for the players, as they were seen in tears soon after Pakistan went down 2-3 to New Zealand in the third-place match in the FIH Qualifiers in Oman.
After losing 0-4 to Germany in the tournament's semi-final, it was their last opportunity to secure a spot in the Paris Olympics, as only the top-three made the cut.
