A retired teacher was duped into taking out a £7,000 loan by a conman taking advantage of the fuel crisis.
The Paisley woman was visited by a cold caller claiming to offer free loft inspections, who went on to claim to have found potentially toxic mould and damp patches.
The crook told the trusting lady she'd have to fork out £7,000 for new insulation.
