Paddy Pimblett and Jared Gordon camps refute claims from UFC chief Dana White

The managers of Paddy Pimblett and Jared Gordon have both spoken out after Dana White confirmed a March bout for the pair, denying an agreement is in place.

UFC is poised to return to London in March and Pimblett is set to star, alongside fellow Merseyside fighter Molly McCann, with White stating a fight has been set.

“Jared Gordon’s probably gonna be his [opponent]," he told Barstool Sports, appearing to confirm the bout will take place.

However, those claims have been refuted from the managers from both camps - with discussions for upcoming opponents still ongoing.

Replying to a video on Twitter, Pimblett's manager Graham Boylan said: “We haven’t agreed on this and still discussing opponents.”

Gordon's manager made a similar approach on social media, adding: “We have heard nothing on our end.”

While the claims of an agreement from White have been denied, it's still widely expected that the two will face off in a match-up.

Pimblett made an instant impression on his UFC debut last year, having made the move from Cage Warriors, while Gordon is currently on a three-fight win streak in UFC.

The Liverpool fighter has spoken previously about a potential clash with Gordon, when speaking on Michael Bisping's Believe You Me Podcast.

“After he mentioned me, I thought me and Jared Gordon might get matched together. But as I say, I’ve got no idea, we’ll see what happens. I haven’t even had potential opponents sent over to me yet. I thought I’d have one by now.”
