Paddy McGuinness surprised fans when he took to social media with a snap of himself in the gym. The Bolton-born TV star has been throwing himself into his fitness following his split from wife Christine McGuinness.
On Wednesday (August 3), Paddy, 48, took to Instagram to share a picture of his latest workout. The Top Gear host captured himself bending down as he lifted weights with a rack of multiple dumbbells stacked behind him. But as he went topless for his session, the snap appeared to show him with no clothes on at all.
But this was later put to rest as he later shared a snap of himself working up a sweat on the leg curl machine. And Paddy has been on quite the gym-going spree of late. On Tuesday (August 2) the dad-of-three posted a video of himself busting a few moves as he psyched himself up for his session.
"Always enjoy your training," he penned alongside his video as he got to work on some pull-ups while showing off his huge lion tattoo on his calf. "Bit of music, little dance, lift some’t up. Disclaimer: dancing in a public gym may not end well."
But some of his followers appeared a bit concerned. @katehamilton825 said: "Looks like you were hitting the ceiling hope you didn’t hurt your nut very impressive dance moves and workout." @foodie_girlguide wrote: "I was waiting for your head to go straight through the ceiling." @powellverity added: "How do you not hit your head."
He then mocked different types of people who head out for a run as he headed out to pound the pavements himself. "Are you 1, 2, 3 or 4? Let me know in the comments below!"
Paddy also headed back to work last week after confirming his split from wife Christine. The couple, who had been married for 11 years, confirmed they had parted ways last week after speculation about their relationship.
In a joint statement about their marriage, Bolton-born Paddy and former model Christine opened up about the "difficult decision" to separate and said they had decided it was the end 'some time ago'.
In the message posted to both of their Instagram Stories, they said: "We hadn't planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but after the lack of privacy surrounding our life personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify. A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.
"This was not an easy decision to make but we are moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We'll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together."
They went on: "We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted intrusion into our our private life. Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter."
