The Green Bay Packers scored the team’s first first-half touchdown since Week 2 and became the final NFL team to score a first-half touchdown at home during the 2023 season.
Running back Aaron Jones darted into the end zone with 14:19 left in the second quarter to give the Packers a 7-0 lead over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
The Packers had gone five straight games without a first-half touchdown. The last score? Jayden Reed’s touchdown catch from Jordan Love against the Atlanta Falcons.
The Packers and New Orleans Saints went into Week 9 as the only teams without a first-half touchdown at home this season. The Saints got theirs just minutes before the Packers on Sunday.
Before Jones’ touchdown, Green Bay was shutout in the first half at home in Week 3 (vs. New Orleans) scored just three points in Week 4 (vs. Detroit) and three points in Week 8 (vs. Minnesota).
