Packers RB Aaron Jones carted back to locker room after knee injury vs. Chargers

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones was in obvious pain on the field, needed help getting to the sideline and was eventually carted back to the locker room for evaluation after injuring his knee in the first half vs. the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday at Lambeau Field.

Jones, the veteran running back, got twisted as he went down to the ground at the end of a second quarter run.

The Packers said Jones is questionable to return. His status will likely be updated coming out of halftime.

The television broadcast showed Jones in extreme pain both as he laid on his back on the field and while being escorted off the field. He was evaluated in the blue medical tent on the sideline before being loaded into a cart, where he draped a towel over his head and was moved to the locker room.

Jones rushed four times for 14 yards and caught one pass for three yards before suffering the injury.

The Packers are down to only A.J. Dillon at running back after Emanuel Wilson, the No. 3 running back, was injured minutes after Jones’ injury.

Jones already missed three games this season with a hamstring injury.
