Ozzy Osbourne will be in a new 10-part reality show after a 20-year absence

The Black Sabbath singer will once again open his home to millions who want to follow the trials and tribulations of the Osbournes.
Osbourne has made a number of comments regarding his anxiety at being back in the spotlight, after health burdens have plagued both himself and his wife, Sharon Osbourne.
But now their children have grown up and have children of their own, will The Osbournes be back in the same format?

Who is Ozzy Osbourne?
Ozzy Osbourne needs little introduction after decades of making a name for himself.
John Michael Osbourne was born in 1948 and became the founding member of the mega-successful rock band Black Sabbath in 1967.
During these hady days of rock notoriety, he met Sharon, the daughter of one of the band’s managers.
It was love at first sight, as Ozzy described being “attracted to her immediately”, but assumed that “she probably thought I was a lunatic”. However, the feeling was mutual, and the pair later married and had three children together, later starring in their own reality show, The Osbournes.
What is Ozzy’s new show?
The 10-part 30-minute show will be a reality show in a similar vein to The Osbournes, with a look at the family’s life, but it promises to be a far more sombre affair than previously.
Named Home to Roost, the show will focus on Osbourne and his family as they return to their roots in England, after moving to Buckinghamshire last year from California, USA.
Speaking prior to the big move, and after suffering numerous health problems, Osbourne had stated that “I don’t want to die in America”. He also wanted a quieter, rural life, in the wake of gun violence in the States.
Osbourne admitted his hesitance at letting a camera crew back into his home. However, he said Sharon had persuaded him.
Both he and his wife have suffered a number of health setbacks, with Ozzy being diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2019, and Sharon having battled cancer.
When is the show and how can I watch it?
Home to Roost will air on BBC One and will also be available on iPlayer later this year.
According to the press statement, the show will “follow the Osbournes as they celebrate one of their most important years yet – with everything from Sharon’s 70th birthday to Kelly’s soon-to-be-born baby, Ozzy’s tour, and of course the big move itself.”
