The two companies behind America's best-selling weight-loss drugs now say their medicines appear to slow molecular "aging clocks." Novo Nordisk, which makes Ozempic and Wegovy, and Eli Lilly, which makes Mounjaro and Zepbound, shared the results at the Aging Research and Drug Discovery meeting in Boston, MIT Technology Review reported on Oct. 6.
The key word is "appear." Novo's analysis has not been peer-reviewed, Lilly's results were presented at a conference rather than in a published paper, and aging clocks are lab estimates, not proof that anyone will live longer, stay sharper, or avoid disease.
