Blizzard has revealed an Overwatch collaboration with Hello Kitty & Friends that will run from Feb. 10 to 23 as part of the game’s Season 1, following the massive changes that the game underwent with dropping the number “2” and adding new characters. That includes Jetpack Cat, who, sadly, will not be receiving a Hello Kitty & Friends skin.
The crossover includes six new themed skins that will see Overwatch heroes dress as Sanrio’s iconic and fan favorite characters.
Overwatch x Hello Kitty & Friends collaboration skins
- Juno as Hello Kitty
- Kiriko as Cinnamoroll
- Mercy as Pompompurin
- D.Va as My Melody
- Widowmaker as Kuromi
- Lucio as Keroppi
Blizzard announced the lineup during its Overwatch Spotlight presentation and mentioned it as one of the seasonal crossovers that will happen throughout the year. Blizzard hasn’t shared pricing details in the announcement post, but usually, licensed cosmetics are sold in the in-game shop for a limited time.
Additionally, Overwatch will feature several other themed bundles in Season 1 alongside some other shop and loot pool updates.
Hello Kitty collab is the latest in a long line of licensed partnerships Overwatch has done to drive seasonal interest. In 2025, Blizzard ran two highly successful collabs: an Overwatch 2 x Street Fighter 6 event with multiple crossover skins sold through themed bundles, and an Overwatch 2 x Persona 5 drop in September 2025, which added tons of Phantom Thieves-themed skins and cosmetics.
Other recent tie-ins have gone beyond games, with Overwatch collaborating with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM for the second time, adding onto what was already a fan-favorite crossover. Blizzard also teamed up with Hasbro for a G.I. Joe crossover in mid-2025.
The Hello Kitty & Friends skins arrive when Overwatch Season 1 begins on Feb. 10, along with a plethora of other changes that are aimed at revitalizing the game.
