The Droughtlander is officially over (almost) for us in the UK as the first episode of Outlander season six airs tonight at 9pm, but American fans have been lucky enough to see it already.
The first episode of season six is a bumper episode which is 90 minutes long, since the season as a whole is shorter than usual.
Season six will see Claire deal with the aftermath of her horrific sexual assault at the end of the last season as she battles PTSD.
Caitriona Balfe, who plays Claire Fraser, recently told Radio Times what fans can expect following on from season five.
She said: "Even before we filmed it, we had already started the conversations about how important it was to see the recovery and the fallout.
"I'm so grateful that our writers were prepared to give a lot of air time to that.
"I also think it's important that we see a character like Claire, who often gets this moniker of being a 'strong female', that whether you appear to be strong on the outside, something like this will really shake you to your core."
From the teasers the Official Outlander page has put out, we already know that the threat of the Browns still looms large on the Ridge, while the arrival of the Christies and the impending Revolutionary War are also set to shake things up.
American fans have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts on the first episode, with many applauding the show for a phenomenal first ep.
One wrote: "I am shook after this ep. Soooo much is happening! Claire…."
Another added:"Just got done watching! Really good first episode. I was riveted to the screen. Especially when Jamie … oops, no spoilers."
While one said: "The Wait is Finally over yay I just finished watching season 6 premier of Outlander .. It was so good, only thing is you can't binge watch .. Can't wait until next week..."
