Amanda Owen has announced that she and husband Clive have split after 22 years of marriage.
The Our Yorkshire Farm stars share nine children together and they have been married since 2000, tying-the-knot five years after they met in 1995.
Yorkshire shepherdess Amanda, 47, shared the news that she and Clive, 67, were going their separate ways in a post on her Instagram Story.
She wrote, in a joint statement: "Clive and I have are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.
"This hasn't been easy, but we both believe it's the right choice for the future of our family."
The statement continued: "Although we are no longer a couple, we continue to work on the farm and co-parent together with our number one priority the happiness and well-being of our children."
Amanda and Clive thanked everyone for their support and asked for privacy during this "difficult time".
The statement was signed by both Amanda and Clive.
There had been rumours that the couple were having a rocky time in their marriage for most of this year and Channel 5 star Amanda has appeared on ITV morning show Lorraine to address the speculation in December last year.
At that time there had been reports for weeks which suggested that the couple were on the rocks and that Amanda has been living away from Ravenseat Farm in a separate rented property as they review their future together.
Lorraine asked Amanda at the time: “The show is lovely. And people have got this thing of they feel they know you and have got to know the children, the animals …
“There’s always a down side. Of course you’ve had that attention on your life. And that’s great. But then when things aren’t going that well, it can be quite difficult.
“How do you deal with that? When it’s quite difficult?”
Amanda replied: “Well it is. You have your difficult moments. But you have to take the rough with the smooth.
“We’ve just talked about how you weather a storm [as Amanda and Lorraine had earlier discussed battling Storm Arwen]. So we are pretty resilient in the hills.
"That’s all you’ve got to do. You’ve got to remember, the bottom line is, if you are proud of what you’re doing, you kind of sort of have to shoulder it.”
She added: “In other words; ‘Get on with it’. Ignore it”
Amanda has also answered critics who have questioned why Clive rarely featured on her social media pages.
Fans of the Yorkshire farmer felt that she often snubbed her hubby but she looked to set the record straight when speaking to OK! Magazine.
She said: "Clive will serve afternoon tea and change nappies, I'll shear sheep and shovel s**t.
"It is hard work being a farmer and I will do everything it takes to provide for my family.
"That means having a lot of fingers in a lot of pies in order to make a living."
This was not enough for some and the questions kept coming on Twitter, so Amanda addressed her followers directly.
Amanda hit back, writing: "Because if you don’t wish to be on social media then that’s your choice."
