In news that is always so awful to have to report on, a family have paid tribute to a "best mate" and beloved son who died in a crash on Mother's Day after dropping them off. Dad Damian Flitchett said his son was "bright, articulate and fun loving," and said the family have been "broken" by the loss.
In her own heart wrenching tribute, mum Vanda said: "Your brothers and sisters Matthew, Amy, James and Hannah are heartbroken and will miss your cheeky smile.

Doctor 'asked if mum abused baby' during hospital visit
Elsewhere Wallasey mum said she was questioned about abusing her baby after he developed unexplained bruises. Beth Reilly, 23, said it was "horrible to be questioned about abusing your own child," but understood it was a necessary safeguarding procedure.
Her baby Bailey was later diagnosed with leukaemia after she was sent home from the hospital three times.
Burglars smash door and steal cash from homeless café
A coffee shop that supports Liverpool's homeless was smashed into overnight in what café boss Michelle Langan called an act of desperation. She said the sad thing about the situation is that if the perpetrators had come in and said they were struggling "we would have fed them and looked after them - all they had to do was ask."
Body of former Super League star found opposite his home
The body of Bryn Hargreaves was found directly opposite his home 14 months after he went missing. Bryn - who played for rugby for St Helens, Bradford Bulls and Wigan Warriors before retiring from the sport in 2012 - had been missing for months and a police investigation had run dry when his family employed a local investigator to try and find him.
