Welcome to Tuesday afternoon's Our Liverpool, where we shine a spotlight on some of our favourite stories from throughout our region.
As highlighted by the tragic deaths of two men on the M57 and the increasingly desperate search for Nicola Bulley, it has been a particularly dark week in the news so far. So we wanted to use this afternoon's Our Liverpool to showcase some kinder stories that'll make you smile.
This week our fantastic Scouse nostalgia reporter Jess Molyneux has been remembering some of Liverpool's legendary relics, from Carnatic Halls to the Edinburgh Park Dockers Club. Go and see if the places were really like how you remember them.

Carnatic Halls didn't need the "wow factor"
If you were ever a student in the city until recently you've probably heard of Carnatic Halls. It was both everything you could ever want from your student digs and everything you didn't want. Its closure in June 2019 was definitely a shock for some.
'Great times' missed at 'legendary' social club
You might not remember the Edinburgh Park Dockers Club but there's a big chance your parents will. People remembered the "best stage in Liverpool" and also the matches they played on its football pitches.
Reading people's remniscences really made me tear up on this one.
Birkenhead's 'swamped' cinema
You can just imagine the smell of popcorn and the opening scene of a blockbuster at the Warner Village cinema. The 1,800-seater multiplex must have been a marvel at the time, and moviegoers even got got to meet Bugs Bunny on the opening night.
