Good morning Liverpool and welcome to the weekend.
It's been a busy week in the ECHO newsroom. Special mentions for Emily Sleight's visit to the scene that missing mum Nicola Bulley was last seen, along with Liam Thorp's exposé of the Liverpool politicians taking the 'back door' to get off with parking fines. The latter caused a bit of a stir and you can read about the aftermath here.
Elsewhere our nostalgia team have been putting us in the mood to go out with their list of 13 lost bars from the 1980s. How many do you remember?
The scale of Eurovision
It's shaping up to be a fantastic summer in Merseyside, with new plans outlining the scale of the Eurovision Fan Zone on the Pier Head. Our reporter David Humphreys revealed time-limited plans have been filed with the city council for up to 24,999 people to party between May 1st and 20th. Milking it
Creative couple Paddy and Laura gave me a look around their 'Vintage Dairy' earlier this week. Bar owner and musician Paddy stumbled across the coastal getaway while looking to potentially buy a venue in Crosby and has now ended up with a lucrative Airbnb. Built in 1932, the house has also been used as an antique shop; a dead giveaway of its past is the statues guarding its roof and setting it apart from its neighbours. Read the full story here.
Cruisin'
With spring on the horizon, we've compiled a full list of the cruise ships docking in Liverpool in the coming months, with the first set to drop anchor in just a few weeks. Many of the world’s most famous cruise lines have been stopping on our famous waterfront since 2007 and this year is no different. See the full line-up here.
