Hello and welcome to this afternoon's installment of Our Liverpool; the ECHO's handy round-up of all the big news, sport and entertainment stories from across Merseyside.
As I'm the ECHO's women's football writer, I'd like to take this opportunity to mention that Liverpool Women are set to take on West Ham United this evening in the quarter-finals of the Continental League Cup. I know there are perhaps some of you reading this who have never been along to a women's game but tonight is a great opportunity for the club to inch that little bit closer to March's final at Selhurst Park, and it would be great to see as many fans as possible cheering the players on at Prenton Park.

Moshiri says Everton not for sale
Sticking with football, it's been a pretty, erm, eventful 48 hours for Everton, who are currently without a manager following Frank Lampard's sacking on Monday. Our team of Everton reporters have been working around the clock to bring you all the latest updates from Goodison Park, from Arnaut Danjuma's sensational U-turn, Anthony Gordon's potential departure and the Blues next managerial appointment.
Last night, following reports the club could be on the market, majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri told the ECHO that Everton is not up for sale, and once again reaffirmed his commitment to the club. You can read the full story here.
Brookside returns...sort of
For any Blues who are looking for a slightly less dramatic alternative to the current goings on at Everton, iconic Merseyside soap, Brookside, is returning to TV screens for the first time in 20 years.
It’s been two decades since the 13 houses on Brookside Close were boarded up, and families such as the Corkhills, Dixons and Grants said their last goodbyes. Now, while we sadly won't be getting a Brookie reboot, all the original episodes of Brookside will finally return to screens – on free streaming service, STV Player.
Fans will be able to stream the soap from the start for the first time ever, after STV Player struck a major new deal with distributor, All3Media International. You can read the full story here.
Lost Liverpool pub
On the subject of Liverpool icons, our nostalgia writer Phoebe Barton has been taking a look back at one of the city's most famous old pubs.
The Green Man on Vauxhall Road hit our TV screens in BBC drama Boys from the Blackstuff. The five-part series used various Merseyside locations, with the show being set in Liverpool and writer Alan Bleasdale also being a Scouser.
