Nine years after Jorge Ramos and María Elena Salinas last regularly worked together, the former Noticiero Univision co-anchors are reuniting ahead of the 2026 midterm elections with a goal that goes far beyond nostalgia. They want to inform Latino voters, put the news in perspective, distinguish fact from opinion, fight misinformation, and, ultimately, motivate people to go to the polls.
For two journalists who spent decades reporting to Latino families while largely keeping their personal views out of the newscast, the reunion also comes with a new freedom: this time, audiences will hear not only what Ramos and Salinas know, but also what they think.
