A man has been taken to hospital after a broad daylight shooting in south London
Armed police swooped on Church Hill in Orpington after the victim, aged 30, was found at 3.50pm on Wednesday.
Scotland Yard said the man’s condition is “not life-threatening”.
A witness to the aftermath told The Standard: “I live about two minutes away and was just walking home. I saw an air ambulance take off from Priory Gardens nearby. There were four armed officers at the scene.”
A police spokesman said there have been no arrests at this stage and a crime scene remains in place.
