Oracle become new title sponsor of Red Bull Racing in multi-million-pound deal

Red Bull Racing will be rebranded for next season as part of a multi-million-pound new title sponsorship deal for 2022 and beyond.

The team, who guided Max Verstappen to an inaugural drivers’ title and finished second to Mercedes in the constructors’ championship, will be known as Oracle Red Bull Racing next season.

The new deal was announced at the virtual launch of the RB18, the challenger for Verstappen’s defence of the world title he clinched in the 2021 season finale in Abu Dhabi.

This season marks the first since Honda’s decision to leave the sport at the end of last season, although the Red Bull Powertrains are using Honda intellectual property for this season.

Following the Oracle deal, team principal Christian Horner said: “Oracle Cloud enabled us to make race- day decisions that helped Max Verstappen win the 2021 drivers’ championship. Discovering and reacting to opportunities quickly is crucial to our success on and off the track, and Oracle is integral in that effort.

“Having Oracle as our title partner shows the confidence we have in their expertise and their ability to deliver a true competitive advantage.”
