OpenTable has a new rewards benefit for its users – and it could help you score that dream reservation

OpenTable is serving up a new loyalty benefit designed to help frequent diners secure reservations at some of the country’s most in-demand restaurants.

The new Gold Tables program, launched Wednesday, expands OpenTable’s recently revamped Regulars loyalty program. Diners can now earn Gold status after completing six reservations through OpenTable within a 12-month period.

Gold members can snag reservations at more than 500 hard-to-book restaurants across 50-plus cities, including major dining hubs like New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, Miami and Washington, D.C. Instead of offering traditional discounts, the program rewards frequent diners with VIP-style access to coveted tables.

The program launched with popular restaurants like Soothr in New York City, Elena’s in San Francisco, Saffy’s in Los Angeles, Fiorella in Philadelphia and Esme in Chicago, with more spots added regularly, according to OpenTable.

"Gold Tables rewards our most loyal diners with something increasingly valuable: real access to sought-after restaurants, and it only takes six reservations a year," John Tsou, SVP of Growth for OpenTable, said in a statment.

"For diners, that means a simple path to tables that may be hard to get. For restaurants, it means deeper relationships with the guests who keep coming back. We're thrilled to bring this benefit to OpenTable Regulars, with more to come,” Tsou continued.

Gold members also get a few extra perks beyond exclusive restaurant access. With OpenTable’s Notify Me feature, Gold diners can receive alerts about last-minute openings at participating restaurants before other users.

Members can also receive six months of free Uber One membership, which includes benefits like credits on eligible Uber rides and $0 delivery fees on qualifying Uber Eats orders, excluding current Uber One members.
