CHANDIGARH: Former Haryana chief minister and leader of opposition Bhupinder Singh Hooda said on Monday that the Agnipath scheme is neither in the interest of the country, nor in the interest of the soldiers and the army.

Addressing a sit-in protest organized by the Congress party at Delhi's Jantar Mamtar against the Agnipath scheme and misuse of constitutional institutions, Hooda said institutions like ED are being used against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi due to political vendetta, but the Congress stands firmly with its leader.
