GUWAHATI: A miniscule 7% of nearly 500 Manipuri families residing in Manipuri Rajbari area, popularly known as Manipuri basti, who had migrated to the city in the last few years, plan to go to Manipur to cast their votes in the assembly elections in that state.
Most of these families are economically backward and had migrated to state for various purposes, including earning a livelihood by setting up small businesses.
