Bevin Prince has bravely spoken out about the death of her husband William Friend and recalled the eerie moment he predicted his tragic death.
In July, a week before his 34th birthday, William died after being struck by lightning while out on a boat in North Carolina. Paramedics attempted to resuscitate the 33-year-old for 20 minutes but he was pronounced dead in the ambulance.
Bevin, 40, says it was heart-breaking to lose her soulmate, who she described as "one of the funniest people I've ever met".
The actress, well-known for her role as Bevin Mirskey on One Tree Hill, said they had been on a boat with her dad when tragedy hit.
"Right before it hit him, he lit a cigar and he looked at my father and he said, 'If we get struck by lightning, Mike, this is where I wanna be'.
"And then it happened. I believe it was really his time," Bevin said in an interview with Good Morning America.
She added: "He was 33 years old. It was July 3 and I believe the exact time that the lightning struck was 3:13 pm.
"So knowing that all the resources were there to potentially save him, I have to believe that something bigger beyond me was calling him."
