One lucky Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 player is set to scoop an even bigger amount than usual.
The National Lottery has confirmed that one player is guaranteed to win €10,000, in addition to the normal prize for their particular category. Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 has a 6 Number game and 7 Number game option across Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.
In every draw, the top prize in the 6 Number game is a guaranteed €125,000 while the 7 Number game is guaranteed to be €40,000.
On this Saturday, July 1, all Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 players, across the Lotto and Lotto Plus games, will be in with a chance of winning €10,000.
A random draw will take place of all Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 winners from Saturday night’s draw to select one lucky winner to take the extra €10,000, in addition to the usual prize they have won.
Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 players are encouraged to carefully check their tickets after the draw is done.
The National Lottery has issued a final appeal to the Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 player in Mullingar who won €40,000 on April 1 and has not yet collected their winnings, with the deadline already being reached.
The Westmeath winner purchased their winning ticket at the Top Oil Service Station on the Longford Road in Mullingar, Co. Westmeath on the day of the draw.
The player correctly matched five out of the seven winning numbers in the Lotto Plus 1 draw that evening to scoop the €40,000 prize.
Those winning numbers were: 11, 24, 27, 34, 42, 44 and the bonus was 15.
A National Lottery spokesperson said: “A Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 player is certain to be celebrating this weekend with €10,000 guaranteed to be won by one lucky winner.
"Tomorrow night will see a random draw take place of all Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 winners from across the 7 Number and 6 Number games to select just one winner to take the full €10,000, in addition to their usual prize.”
