With Forza Horizon 6 embracing Japanese car culture, there is going to be a lot of focus on JDM cars. Toyota’s Gazoo Racing GT Prototype is the official cover car for the game, highlighting a new era of JDM. But Forza Horizon games always feature a diverse car roster, and Forza Horizon 6 won’t be any different. As confirmed by the team on Twitter/X the beastly 2024 RAM 1500 TRX is also making an appearance.
Pickup truck fans are in for a treat, and the official car list also confirms that we’re getting the 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser. Both of these monstrous vehicles are going to be gigantic on Japan’s roads, and it will be a lot of fun tailgating some poor NPCs in their KEI cars when you have a 700+ horsepower HEMI V8 engine under you.
Forza Horizon 6 Continues The Diverse Car Roster
The 2024 RAM 1500 TRX is an apex predator of performance tracks. It packs a legendary 6.2L HEMI V8 engine, producing a staggering 702 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The truck is designed to dominate the high-speed off-road segment, and has a 0-60 mph time of just 4.5 seconds. It’s fast for a truck, yes, but it’s also faster than most consumer ICE vehicles.
However, its inclusion does give us an insight as to what to expect from Forza Horizon 6’s map. The TRX focuses on high-speed off-road desert running, and also does very well with a drift suspension. It has excessive power, versatility, and cross-country dominance. The game features additional off-road monsters like the Mitsubishi Montero and the lightweight Polaris RZR Pro XP Ultimate.
What does this mean? Well, it looks like we’re going to get just a diverse experience as we did with Forza Horizon 5. Sure, JDM car culture and street racing might be the main appeal of the game, but we’re also getting plenty of off-road races and suitable cars to go along with it. It looks like Playground Games is aiming for versatility from the get-go. This makes perfect sense, as it’s a formula that has worked well for them in the past.
