A 17th century pub in Bury has gone on sale with an eye-watering price tag of £1 million. The Church Inn, in Birtle, understood to be one of the oldest in Greater Manchester, comes with four acres of stunning land, gardens and car parking.
The inn, located on Castle Hill Road, offers southerly views of Manchester's skyline and Cheshire and was previously renovated in the 1970s to provide a restaurant, kitchen and outside seating area for up to 100 guests.
The pub closed down permanently during the Covid-19 pandemic, with the current owners now looking to retire. Estate agents Pearson Ferrier say there is 'great potential' to reopen the pub and restaurant.

The inn offers a bar and restaurant area that need 'little work' with extensive car parking and ample space for further development opportunities. The accommodation for owners comprises of two bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and also a bathroom.
