The bag you pack at 9 AM is the one doing the heavy lifting at 7 PM
The entire office-to-evening transition lives or dies by what you put in your bag before you leave the house. Not a second bag. The same one. You need three things: a small clutch pouch that can be pulled out and used independently if the occasion calls for it, a travel-size kajal or kohl pencil, and one statement piece of jewellery, a pair of jhumkas, a bold cuff, or a long necklace, wrapped in a small cloth and sitting at the bottom of your tote. The tote stays in the car or at the office. The pouch and the jewellery come with you. That is the entire logistics problem, solved before you have had your morning chai.
