Sports bettors, how are we feeling today? Have we recovered from losing money as a result of Sunday’s Super Bowl? Or, hey, maybe you’re still on cloud nine from the Big Game.
Whatever the case may be, it’s time to turn the page on the NFL season and lock in on the NBA. This Valentine’s Day slate, there are plenty of opportunities to get lucky.
Tuesday’s five games have a lot to offer and should all be competitive, which means several players should be in store for good performances.
Here is one player prop to consider betting on for each of the five Valentine’s Day games.
Orlando Magic at Toronto Raptors
Markelle Fultz – Over 14.5 Points
Perhaps you remember Markelle Fultz as the former No. 1 overall pick that struggled in Philadelphia before being shipped to Orlando and mostly becoming an afterthought. Well, you should wake up. Fultz has revived his career on this fun Orlando Magic team and is playing some really good basketball. He’s scored 15 or more points in all but one of the last seven games and is in a good spot to do so again on Tuesday vs. a mediocre Raptors defense.
Boston Celtics at Milwaukee Bucks
Giannis Antetokounmpo – Over 0.5 Steals
Giannis is the best player in basketball if you ask me, and the best player in basketball is one who is capable of all things on offense and defense. Being elite on both ends, it’s hard for me not to make a bet on the one-time Defensive Player of the Year Award winner being able to manage at least one steal in any given game. Tonight, I’d take that bet as he and the Bucks will surely be plugged in against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday.
Sacramento Kings at Phoenix Suns
De’Aaron Fox – Over 26.5 Points
De’aaron Fox is a 2022-23 All-Star (replacement). He is perhaps the best crunch-time player in the NBA this season, and he’s coming off three straight games of scoring more than 30 points. He’s riding into the All-Star Break with some serious momentum and I don’t think that stops in Phoenix.
Golden State Warriors at Los Angeles Clippers
Terance Mann – Over 0.5 Threes
Terance Mann has filled in nicely as one of the Clippers’ five starters. While known for his defense and energy, his ability to knock down open shots has kept him on the floor for more than just a few brief stints. He’s no sniper, but capitalizing on many open catch-and-shoot threes due to playing off of the much-attended-to Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, has become Mann’s thing. He’ll get open looks again on Tuesday vs. the Warriors and should be able to see at least one drop.
Washington Wizards at Portland Trail Blazers
Kristaps Porzingis – Over 1.5 Threes
Regardless of which Portland Trail Blazer big is on the court, Porzingis is going to pick-and-pop his way into several 3-point attempts. Earlier this month against Portland, he went 3-for-6 from deep and should be able to put up a similar number at Moda Center on Tuesday night.
