Olivia Wilde has opened up about the pain she's feels when women shame her for her dating life.
The actress and Booksmart director, 38, split from Ted Lasso star Jason Sudeikis, 46, with whom she shares two children, in November 2020.
She is now dating superstar Harry Styles, after the pair met on the set of her movie Don't Worry Darling, in which Harry plays the male lead.
The pair have gone from strength-to-strength, recently spotted on a date night in New York City, with the singer set to perform at Madison Square Garden in over a month.
And Olivia has revealed she goes out of her way to protect their relationship as she discussed their 'deep love' for another in an interview with Variety.
“The last two years, my family has gone through this kind of restructuring and a revolution that should be a totally personal experience, and it’s not. The most painful element of it has been women shaming me for making a decision that was for my own health and happiness, " The Tron: Legacy star said.
Keeping tight-lipped over her romance with the 1D star, she said: "I'm not going to say anything about it because I've never seen a relationship benefit from being dragged into the public arena.
'We both go out of our way to protect our relationship; I think it's out of experience, but also just out of deep love."
Olivia and Harry met on the set of Don't Worry Darling in September 2020 and they have "finding ways to make things work" as they took their relationship from a perceived 'fling' to a more committed relationship.
They first stepped out as a couple in January 2021, when they attended a wedding together and despite them both having busy schedules, their romance has only been heading in one direction.
Speaking to People, an insider said: "Harry is very smitten."
Don't Worry Darling hit the headlines earlier this year when the trailer featured intimate scenes between Harry and Florence Pugh's characters, with the pair getting frisky on a dining room table.
Meanwhile, the House actress is currently embroiled in a custody battle with Jason over where their two children, Otis, eight, and Daisy, five, will be raised, which was dragged into the spotlight when Olivia was served with legal papers while speaking about her new film on stage in Las Vegas.
Jason allegedly didn't know Olivia would be served papers in such a public way.
In the same Variety interview, Olivia spoke about her reaction when she was handed the custody papers during a CinemaCon presentation earlier this year.
"It was my workplace, In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack. It was really upsetting. It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary."
A source told PageSix at the time: "Papers were drawn up to establish jurisdiction relating to the children of Ms. Wilde and Mr. Sudeikis.
"Mr. Sudeikis had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered as this would solely be up to the process service company involved and he would never condone her being served in such an inappropriate manner."
She said she splits custody of the children, with Otis and Daisy going back and forth between her and Jason week to week.
Olivia first moved to London a few years ago with her family and now splits her time between the UK and Los Angeles.
