Olivia Rodrigo to host and perform on SNL ahead of third album release

  • American singer Olivia Rodrigo is set to host and perform as the musical guest on the US sketch show Saturday Night Live (SNL) on May 2.
  • This marks the 23-year-old's debut as an SNL host and her first time undertaking 'double duty' on the programme.
  • The announcement follows the recent revelation that her highly anticipated third album, 'You Seem Pretty Sad For A Girl So In Love', will be released on June 12.
  • Rodrigo, a Grammy-winner, has previously appeared on SNL twice as a musical guest, in May 2021 and December 2023.
  • Other upcoming SNL episodes will feature Matt Damon hosting with musical guest Noah Kahan, and Will Ferrell hosting with Sir Paul McCartney as the musical guest.
