Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner fumed at the decision not to award Wolves defender Craig Dawson a red card in Saturday’s 2-2 draw.
The Eagles took the lead at Molineux through Trevoh Chalobah on the hour mark, though were eventually pegged back by Jorgen Strand Larsen’s strike before Joao Gomes put the hosts ahead.
Marc Guehi levelled not long after that and Palace thought they had won it through Jean-Philippe Mateta’s late effort, though that was ruled out by VAR for a foul on goalkeeper Jose Sa.
Palace had enjoyed a brilliant week after a frustrating start to the season, having claimed their first win of the Premier League season over Tottenham last weekend before beating Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
While Glasner said he could understand the decision not to award Mateta’s late strike, he believes Dawson should have been sent off for blocking the striker’s through ball to Ismaila Sarr with what appeared to be his hand.
“I could see it, yes. It’s a 50/50 decision,” Glasner said of the disallowed goal.

“We can see how the referee whistled in the game.
“He continued many duels, he didn’t call for a foul. I think if the referee allowed it then the VAR wouldn’t have taken it back.”
Glasner added: “The one is the hand from Dawson. This is a decision where VAR has to intervene because it’s a clear red card. We can’t influence it but we can decide the chances we have in the moment.”
