Your regular season Big Ten champion Ohio State Women’s team is set to begin postseason play Friday in Minneapolis. The Buckeyes will face Maryland who they beat twice earlier this season. The most recent victory over the Terps came just a few weeks ago by a score of 79-66.
However, it’s called March Madness for a reason. Maryland is a solid team and despite taking care of business against the Terrapins earlier in the season, Kevin McGuff’s team will need to come ready to play. As of now, Ohio State should be squarely situated as a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, but with so many quality teams in women’s basketball this year, the ladies most likely need to at least get to Sunday’s championship game and possibly win the Big Ten Tournament to keep that seeding.
It all starts this afternoon in an early tip-off so you might have to get your laptop set up at work if you want to see the game.
🔴⚪️ It's Big Ten Tournament time ‼️ First game for the top-seeded Buckeyes is Friday at 12:30 p.m. ET!
