The Buckeyes stars always have big decisions when they finish their third year and subsequent ones: Stay in Columbus or move on to the NFL. For tight end Cade Stover, it has been quite the road to find playing time.
Signed as a defensive end, Stover started his career there. Then came the position changes, first to tight end and then to linebacker, where he finished the 2021 season. He returned to tight end this year and finally had a chance to shine. Stover caught 36 passes for 406 yards and five touchdowns, which surely caught the eye of many NFL teams.
However, the next level will have to wait. Stover announced on Monday that he is returning to Ohio State.
I AM COMING BACK.

This is a big time win for head coach Ryan Day. There is no doubt Stover would have been drafted, but how early was the biggest question. Now with another year of production under his belt, the former Mr. Ohio will have another season of film to impress NFL teams.
TE Cade Stover is such a fun weapon. Had a great combo block to spring Henderson’s long TD run. And then this catch and run.

His presence was missed against Georgia. After Stover went out with a hip injury, the offense seemed a bit off. Having him back for the 2023 season is a big bonus.
