The Ohio State softball team got the news it expected on Sunday and received an at-large invite to the NCAA tournament and will be to the Knoxville Regional.
Being in Knoxville, obviously the No. 1 seed in the region is the Tennessee Volunteers, but OSU did receive the No. 2 seed and will take on Oregon State in the first game of a double-elimination four-team regional on Friday. The other team in the region is Campbell.
The Buckeyes are headed to the NCAA tournament for the fifth time since 2016, all under head coach Kelly Kovach Schoenly. The stretch of five regional berths in seven seasons is the best in program history.
