We are at halftime of what looks to be a fairly dominant Ohio State football victory over the Purdue Boilermakers. Ohio State is currently leading Purdue, 20-0 going into halftime, and is already winning against the spread as well.
It is hard to nitpick what looks like a potential perfect game, because both Ohio State’s offense and defense have been lights out. It should be noted that the Boilermakers have shown a propensity to shoot themselves in the foot as well.
Despite the abundance of injuries to the Buckeyes, this may be the best performance we have seen from this offense this season. The following are five observations from the first half.
Purdue special teams struggling
Purdue's kicker has missed two field goals today. During a TV break, the Boilermakers brought a fan out there to kick for a scholarship.
He made 20, 30 and 40 yard kicks. Just sayin'.

For as much credit as the Buckeyes deserve for looking dominant in the first half. it should be mentioned that the Boilermakers have missed two field goals that could have provided some much-needed momentum.
Ty Williams=Elite?
Tylek Williams would look really good in a #Browns uniform next year.

Tyleik Williams went a bit under the radar during the pre-season, but Williams has always had All-Big Ten talent and he is showing that today with his dominance from the interior.
Jack Sawyer gets his first sack
Ohio State fans have been waiting on that exact kind of combined sack by Jack Sawyer and J.T. Tuimoloau since they signed back in 2021
— Stephen Means (@Stephen_Means) October 14, 2023
Jack Sawyer is finally on the board! We have been craving a sack from Jack Sawyer all season and we finally get one. Sawyer was a former five-star recruit and his career has been a tad underwhelming, but perhaps today is a shift in his production.
Running Back room getting thin
Chip Trayanum going to the sideline. Took a tough hit and then fell down again on the way to the sideline.
Dallan Hayden in now. Ohio State down three running backs now.

Going into the game, the Buckeyes were already down TreVeyon Henderson and Miyan Williams, but now Chip Trayanum has exited the game. Have no fear though Dallan Hayden has looked like a stud.
Devin Brown
IS THAT DEVIN BROWN MUSIC? @dbrownqb33 with the QB run for 6 more points.

The Buckeyes have brought out a special short-yardage package featuring Devin Brown at quarterback and it looks good. Brown is a uniquely athletic passer and Ohio State has found a way to utilize that skillset.
