The Ohio State Football program has consistently been among the best in the country.
While the Buckeyes haven’t gotten the job done as of late, they have been amassing talent and have one of the best NIL programs in the country. Ohio State was able to use its program dynamics to bring in a few of the best transfer players in the country, including Alabama safety Caleb Downs and Ole Miss running back Quinshon Judkins.
Along with Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, Ohio State has arguably one of the most talented teams college football has ever seen, at least according to one NFL scout.
ESPN senior writer Jake Trotter penned a column on the Buckeyes, discussing their $20 million program, and noted what the scout had to say about this Buckeyes team.
“One NFL scout called this the most talented team he’s ever evaluated at Ohio State, with more depth than the 2021 national champion Georgia team that set a draft record with 15 players selected in 2022.
“‘Pound for pound, player for player,'” the scout said, “‘they have as many good players as any [college football] team that I can remember.'”

Add in the mix the return of their dynamic starting running back along with the incoming top player in the country Jeremiah Smith, and the Buckeyes have a program ready to conquer the college football world.
At least that is the expectation this upcoming season. For Ryan Day’s sake, the Buckeyes need to both beat Michigan and do some damage in the College Football Playoff, which has expanded to 12 teams for the first time in its history.
The Buckeyes won it in 2014, and hopefully, that magic comes back a decade later.
