Ohio State basketball is looking to start its 2025 recruiting class with a huge boom.
Shooting guard Darryn Peterson, an Ohio native, who is prepping at powerhouse Huntington Prep in West Virginia, cut his top list down to 8 schools, with the Buckeyes among the contenders.
Peterson stands 6-foot, 5-inches and weighs 195-pounds, is ranked as the No. 1 player at his position and 3rd nationally according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He’s clearly a cornerstone prospect, one that Ohio State would surely be able to build around.
The key here is that the Buckeyes have already hosted Peterson on an unofficial visit, one of three schools that he has currently visited. He is also considering going the professional route out of high school.
2025 5⭐️ Darryn Peterson has officially cut his list to eight schools. Here are the programs he’s considering:
Ohio State
Arkansas
Indiana
Kentucky
Kansas
Michigan
North Carolina
