Ohio State basketball blows out IUPUI

The Ohio State basketball team did what it was supposed to do in disposing of the IUPUI Jaguars on Tuesday night 83-37.

The game was scheduled a little over a week ago in an effort to get the team another competitive environment after the program lost three nonconference games because of a COVID-19 pause. It wasn’t expected to be much of a contest, with IUPUI only having one win on the season to a Division III school, but the team faced having nearly a week off without another game this week.

Ohio State got scoring from several sources as you would expect Tuesday. E.J. Liddell more or less had his way in and around the lane, scoring 13 points on just 4-of-7 field goals, but this game was more about getting everyone involved. Eugene Brown had a career-high 14 points, reserve guard Cedric Russell tossed in 12, and 11 players in total got on the board.

There’s not much we can take from this one, but hopefully, it was used to get the team back in the same type of rhythm it had before it had to go on a 22-day hiatus.
