Ohio State football quarterback C.J. Stroud has been among the favorites to win the Heisman Trophy since before the season started — for good reason. He had one whale of a 2021 campaign and was thought positioned to be even better during his second year running the offense for Ryan Day and the Buckeyes.
So far, that’s been the case. Stroud leads the country in Total QBR and is among the leaders in several other passing categories. The bar was set high with Stroud atop the Heisman odds early, but he lost his grip on being the favorite to Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker recently.
However, it appears Stroud is the favorite once again after both he and Hooker didn’t have the best numbers in Week 10. Fortunately for Stroud, he used his legs a little to will his team to a win at Northwestern. Hooker and the Vols were no match for a Georgia team looking to prove a point.
