Oh Look, Angry White Man on Social Media Is Fake Mad at Sabrina Carpenter. Shocking

Conservative commentator Steven Crowder brought back an issue singer Sabrina Carpenter had with the Catholic Church in the past. The pop star’s non-apology has, to this day, offended Crowder, and he had to let the world know.

All there is to say about it is that Sabrina Carpenter’s ‘Manchild’ is written and reserved for these moments.

Carpenter issued an apology over a misunderstanding between her and a fan at Coachella. During one set, Carpenter mistook a cultural expression for yodeling. Because of her reaction, Carpenter faced social media backlash. This prompted an apology from the singer, who is now aware of what a zaghrouta is.

Crowder quote tweeted Carpenter’s apology on X. He wrote, “So you’ll apologize for this but STILL won’t apologize for filming a murder-fantasy ‘kill men’ music video at a REAL Catholic church? S-tier virtue signaling.”

The commentator was referencing Carpenter’s hit and controversial music video ‘Feather.’ There was a scene in the video where Carpenter was dancing at the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church located in Brooklyn, New York City. Needless to say, Carpenter was not wearing church-friendly attire with her short, poofy black dress. But this was not without permission, and then-Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello permitted the filming.

Although he regrets giving the greenlight, calling it a “lapse in judgement,” it’s not as if Carpenter and her team filmed without prior notice.

Moreover, Crowder exaggerates when he says that the song is about killing men—when in reality, the lyrics are about getting over men. But of course, because there’s some violence in the video, it has to be a murder fantasy for Carpenter! This is sarcasm, and Crowder’s blown the idea out of proportion.

Crowder lynches Carpenter but laughs at Trump Jesus

There are a lot of mental gymnastics at play here for the likes of Crowder. For one, when Trump posted his controversial Easter Sunday message, Crowder shrugged and said at a Pierce Morgan interview, “I didn’t elect Donald Trump because I thought he was a pastor.”

And when Pope Leo XIV made a tweet about encouraging peace between Muslims and Christians in Algeria? Crowder went off on the Pope by going on an Islamophobic rant. He posted, “Tell that to the Christians being erased and persecuted in places like Nigeria and Iraq OR Europeans watching their churches empty while Islamic populations surge.”

What an uncharitable thing to say when predominantly Muslim countries like Iran and Lebanon are currently being bombed by American weapons. Is the term ‘erasure’ applicable when Muslims are also in the line of fire? There is Christian persecution in Algeria, but that is precisely why the pope was calling for peace in his tweet—just as he has been consistently preaching the gospel that is aligned against war.

And was Crowder barking when President Donald Trump posted a photo of himself as Jesus? Trump received backlash about posting an AI-generated image of himself as Jesus. But Crowder was certainly not fuming on X. In fact, he was laughing with other podcasters about Trump Jesus, even if the act itself defies the Third Commandment.

But sure, Carpenter’s incident from 2023 is definitely worth raising and cherry-picking because she is a witch! Again, this is sarcasm.

Not only did it happen years ago, but there are certainly bigger issues to confront if he’s so concerned about Christianity and blasphemy. Instead, he chooses to keep crying over a non-issue. Now, this is S-tier virtue signaling from Crowder.
