Odsonne Edouard responds to Celtic exit as he sends Karamoko Dembele message after French transfer

Karamoko Dembele has bid farewell to Celtic as he took to social media to thank everyone for helping him through his journey at Parkhead that ends after 13 years.

The 19-year-old has officially left the Hoops to take on a new challenge in France with Ligue 1 outfit Stade Brestois 29 after putting pen to paper on a four-year deal. Dembele burst onto the scene as a youngster with very high hopes for his future after mixing it with pros much older than him when he turned out for Celtic's reserve side in his early teens.

Hype has built since then and links to some of Europe's top sides only added fuel to the fire over where his career could end up. However, he could only manage 10 appearances at Celtic for the top team - with injury disrupting his first campaign under new boss Ange Postecoglou. Now he has moved on for a fresh challenge and he has sent a message to the Celtic faithful online.

The youngster is adamant greater things are to come as he received well wishes from a number of his former colleagues including former star man Odsonne Edouard.

He wrote online: "After 13 years at Celtic my time at the club has come to an end.

"I'd like to thank the fans and the people that helped me through this journey. Although not everything went according to plan, the challenges I faced over the past two years was not foreseen.

"However, with faith and the support of my family I knew I would come to pass.

"Greater things to come!"

His post gathered the attention of former team-mates who wished him all the best on his new chapter.

Odsonne Edouard: "All the best bro."

Mikey Johnston: "All the best brother."

Josip Juranovic: "Good luck mate!"

Albian Ajeti: "All the best bro."

Adam Montgomery: Good luck partner."
