Odell Beckham Jr. Snags Pair of One-Handed Catches During Workout

Free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. held a workout in Arizona on Friday to show interested teams that he is fully recovered from his ACL injury. After missing last year, the veteran put on a showcase for 12 teams ahead of the new league year beginning this week.

Beckham was able to show that he still has some explosiveness left, and he even threw in some one-handed catches. Free agent cornerback Prince Amukamara was in attendance to watch his former Giants teammate, and Amukamara posted a few videos in which Beckham easily caught two passes with just one hand.

Of course, Beckham’s signature catch in the NFL was a one-handed grab while with the Giants vs. the Cowboys in 2014. Since then, he has been one of the more dynamic players in the league and helped lead the Rams to a Super Bowl in 2021.

It has been over a year since Beckham tore his ACL in the Super Bowl with Los Angeles, and despite taking visits with teams last season, he apparently chose to sit out. By the time he next plays in a game, Beckham will have had about 18 months to heal from his knee injury.

Free agency officially opens on Wednesday, but because Beckham did not play on a team last year, he can sign anytime before then also.
