The Cleveland Browns have made a couple of offensive moves this evening. First, they have hired veteran offensive mind Bill Musgrave as an offensive assistant. Now, they have also handed the duties of quarterbacks coach back to offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt, who held the title in 2021 and 2022 for the Browns.
There is no doubt the Browns need a massive leap out of their quarterback Deshaun Watson if they want to get back into the playoffs in 2023. Van Pelt has held the duties before, but this feels like it may be a missed opportunity to bring fresh eyes into the facility.
